It's Not a Handout, But a Hand UP!
The Empowerment Group will again serve dinner to the city's less fortunate TODAY Friday, September 3, starting at 6 p.m. We'll meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. If you would like to join us or donate money, food, dry goods or paper items, please feel free to do so. The menu will consist of: hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, baked beans and a dessert (cookies or cake), soda and water. Items needed to serve this meal: hot dogs; hamburger patties; hamburger buns; hot dog buns; chips; baked beans; water; cookies and/or cake; ice; carryout containers, forks, napkins, sandwich bags, foil pans (used for chafing dishes), foil, plastic wrap.
